We may all live in a great big global community, but in my Blog, it's my world.

Every now and then I try to remember to put up a few links to some reviews I've done at Amazon.  Normally it's music or movies, but every now and then it'll be electronic items of some sort or another, or, as in the case of the list below, Lego toys or something like that.

Anyway, if you all (readers) don't mind a naked attempt to get some votes for the reviews that I've written, then here goes.

It goes something like this... read a review that might be linked below, or jump around on the Amazon.com site to other reviews once you read any of the ones I've linked below.  Once you read the review, feel free to comment on it or, more importantly for my point gathering efforts, register a vote for whether or not the review was helpful or not.  Hopefully all of my reviews are helpful in some way or another, but if any of them aren't helpful to you, please feel free to comment about ways I could have made it more helpful or even use the "No" vote option for the review to tell Amazon and myself that you think I could and should try harder or do better.

Either way, I do appreciate the feedback, and encourage visitors to Amazon that do get benefits from the reviews that others post to please leave feedback for those reviews as it helps to encourage the reviewers to keep doing the reviews. I know in my case I've saved myself from making many potentially bad purchases by reading the reviews first, so I do try to rate the reviews that are helpful when possible.

Anyway, here's some of my recent reviews. Yeah, I know some of them are a bit weak, but then I try not to duplicate what others have done which leads to less detail and shorter blurbs for items where I'm not in the early group of reviews, etc.

Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party (recent CD release)

Final Flight: The Mystery of a WW II Plane Crash and the Frozen Airmen in the High Sierra (fascinating book, though this is one of my shorter reviews as I was late in reading the book and I try not to duplicate information you'd get from someone else's review (at the time that I'd be posting my review I normally check other reviews to avoid such duplication))

Willie Mays: The Life, The Legend (Willie Mays bio, yet another fairly short review)

Sugarland: Incredible Machine CD

Frozen (Horror/thriller movie that didn't work all that well *for me*, but othes may really enjoy)

Walker Hayes EP (really highly recommend this one for Country fans!)

Zac Brown Band's You Get What You Give (Deluxe Edition) CD

LEGO Toy Story Western Train Chase (7597) (Lego = awesome!)

Case Logic ULA-110 10.2-Inch Netbook Attache' (Gray) (Netbook and iPad "murse")

Buy--DON'T Hold: Investing with ETFs Using Relative Strength to Increase Returns with Less Risk (Book)

Bronx Justice (Jaywalker) (Book)

That's about it for most of the recent stuff. My review production has dropped quite a bit over the last year.

Willie Mays: The Life, The Legend (Willie Mays bio, yet another fairly short review)

Willie has always been a favorite of mine.  I lived in SF when he played there, and he wound up his career with my team - The Mets.  Baseball was exciting when he and Hank Aaron were chasing the Babe, and I was sure he would be the one to catch him.  But it was not to be.

A good review of his book.  He was a great player.
